It has been raining here lately. A lot. Like…a whole lot. I don’t know about you but rain makes me want to wear sweat pants and curl up on my couch with my huge puppy (who coincidentally is deathly afraid of getting wet). Unfortunately, it isn’t possible for me to wear sweat pants everywhere for two weeks straight, despite that fact that I try my very hardest.
I’ve found that it doesn’t take much to look pulled together in the rain, as everyone looks pretty frazzled and disheveled. My go-to outfit consists of skinny jeans and a sweater of sorts. If I’m feeling extra motivated, I’ll throw a button down shirt on underneath my sweater. I wear my rain boots all the time (because let’s be clear, in my mind they are all-weather boots), so if it’s slightly wet/cold, there is a 100% chance that I’m wearing them. When it’s extra chilly, I get to dig through all of my hats, scarfs and winter items to find my boot socks. What fun.
Last, but certainly not least, I grab my nylon Longchamp purse. This bag has been through more than any other item I’ve ever owned. The reason being is that it’s essentially “Rivers proof.” I can fold it, scratch it, wipe things on it and most importantly spill things on/in it. It’s nylon so it can be easily cleaned and dried off. Why isn’t everything spill proof? It’s 2013…come on, guys.
Hand me an umbrella and I’m ready to take on the rainy day.
